Kuan Liu is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Sam M. Walton College of Business, University of Arkansas, where he has been employed since August 2020. His research examines the intersection of banking regulation, corporate finance, and industrial organization.
- Education: Ph.D. in Finance (University of Wisconsin-Madison, 2020), M.A. in Economics (Duke University, 2013), B.A. in Economics (University of Colorado-Denver, 2011)
His research interests focus on banking regulation, corporate finance, and industrial organization. Specific areas include financial regulation effects, fintech market dynamics, payday loan behavior, and monetary policy transmission. Recent work explores Dodd-Frank Act impacts on small banks and corporate market power in loan pricing.
