Ksenia Robbe is an Assistant Professor/Senior Lecturer in European Culture and Literature (Russian) at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Arts. She holds a Ph.D. from the International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture, Gießen, Germany. Her research focuses on postcolonial and postsocialist studies, memory studies, and feminist practices in literature and art. She coordinates the 'Transitions and Social Justice' research group and teaches courses on literature and conflict, postcolonial theory, and Russian culture.
Her academic service includes programme coordination for European Languages and Cultures and supervising PhD students researching topics like post-communist memory, sensorial perception in detentions, and Soviet infrastructures. She has held fellowships at NIAS, the Polish Institute for Advanced Studies, and other institutions.
Her recent work explores remembering transitions, feminist counterpublics, and the intersections of memory and crisis. Key publications include studies on Russian activist art, South African literary transitions, and the archives of the Russo-Ukrainian war.
