Krunoslav Sever

Krunoslav Sever is an Associate Professor at the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Department of Wood Technology. He holds a PhD and has been affiliated with the institution since 2007. His career includes roles such as Assistant Professor (2018–current), Senior Assistant (2013–2018), and Junior Researcher (2007–2013). Prior to academia, he worked at Hrvatske Šume d.o.o. (2006–2007).

His research focuses on tree responses to climate change, particularly drought effects on phenotypic traits, nitrogen dynamics, and reproductive processes in forest trees like Quercus robur. Key areas include leaf physiology, pollination biology, and provenance studies under varying environmental conditions. His work integrates field trials, fertilization experiments, and advanced instrumentation like chlorophyll meters.

Publications highlight trends in drought tolerance mechanisms, phosphorus fertilization impacts, and phenological shifts in Mediterranean and Central European tree species. Recent studies emphasize adaptation strategies for sustainable forestry under climate stressors.
