Krisztina Büti is an Assistant Teaching Professor in Finance and Accounting at the Rady School of Business, University of California, San Diego. Her research focuses on empirical corporate finance, behavioral finance, and information processing in financial markets.

Her work examines market frictions in price efficiency during corporate acquisitions and how markets learn about firms' investment opportunities. She previously served as a senior lecturer and industry researcher at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary.
At UCSD, she contributes to centers of excellence through research on financial markets regulation and corporate governance. Her dissertation was recognized with the John F. Doukas Award in 2016 at the European Financial Management Association's Annual Meetings.
