Lei Zhao is an Associate Professor in Finance at ESCP Business School, based in Paris. He teaches postgraduate courses in Portfolio Management, Derivatives, and Corporate Finance. His research focuses on banking, empirical asset pricing, and corporate finance, with publications in journals like the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization. He holds a PhD from the ICMA Centre, University of Reading, and is a CFA charterholder.
- Recipient of the 2023 Best Paper Award (Commodity and Energy Markets Association) for work on crude oil storage costs
