Amy W. Huber is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on financial intermediation, asset pricing, international finance, and macro-finance.

- A.B. in Economics (magna cum laude) from Harvard College
She investigates how competition and regulations affect financial intermediaries such as dealers, money market funds, and insurance companies, using empirical methods like structural estimation. Her work explores impacts on asset prices, monetary policy, and international finance.
Her recent publications include studies on risk propagation through traded factors, global dollar asset holdings, and market power dynamics in wholesale funding. These works analyze financial frictions, hedging practices, and intermediary constraints.
She previously worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company and a private equity investor for ADIA, the UAE’s sovereign wealth fund. She is also a CFA charterholder and an external consultant for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
