Kristy Wegner is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education at Wisconsin Lutheran College (WLC). She holds a B.S. in Education from Dr. Martin Luther College and an M.A. in Education from WLC (2018). Her professional certifications include instructional coaching and mentoring (Cardinal Stritch University, 2013) and supervision of student teachers (Martin Luther College, 2013).
Her teaching focuses on Early Childhood Instructional Strategies, Educational Psychology, Student Motivation, Models of Teaching Writing, and Gifted and Talented Education. She has extensive experience teaching early childhood, elementary, middle school students, and adult learners as an adjunct professor at WLC. Professionally, she has served as a teacher, director, founding principal, and administrator.
For the past decade, Wegner has been part of the administration team at St. Marcus Lutheran School in Milwaukee, where she remains active as a congregation member. Her work emphasizes supporting educators and improving instructional outcomes through leadership and mentorship.
Licenses include a Wisconsin Teacher Lifetime License (Regular Education EC-MC) and Administrator Lifetime License (Director of Instruction EC-A). She is a member of the Teaching Professor and Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
