Kristy Hoover

Kristy Hoover serves as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Art and Design at SUNY Oswego, teaching drawing courses while maintaining an active professional art practice. She also operates and manages a ceramics studio at Orion Art Gallery and Studio in Alexandria Bay, NY.

Her educational background includes:

Hoover's artistic research centers on creating emotionally resonant works that engage with contemporary social issues through contrasting mediums. Her portfolio features hyper-realistic large-scale figurative drawings alongside abstract prints and paintings, while her ceramic practice spans utilitarian pottery to provocative sculptural pieces.
