معرفی
Kristopher E. Boyle is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences and Assistant Dean for Curricular Innovation at Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy. He earned his PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine (2008), followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at The Scripps Research Institute under Prof. Dale Boger, studying anticancer compounds targeting DNA. His research focuses on developing innovative treatments for cancer using DNA-destroying molecules in combination with other therapies. He teaches medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, and pharmaceutics across the pharmacy curriculum.
- Roles: Assistant Dean (Curricular Innovation), Associate Professor
- Committees: Curriculum Committee (LLU), Co-convener of Faculty of Graduate Studies, Chair of Promotion and Tenure Committee (LLU)
Research Interests: Boyle's work centers on cutting-edge cancer therapies, particularly the application of potent DNA-targeting agents like duocarmycin analogs. His studies span glioblastoma, leukemia, and triple-negative breast cancer, emphasizing how these compounds enhance radiation sensitivity or induce apoptosis. He also explores HIV fusion inhibitors and autoimmune disease therapeutics.
Grants & Projects: His grant-supported research includes 'AhR agonist analogs as novel agents to treat refractory breast cancer' (LLU-GRASP, 2017–2020). His publications highlight drug design, molecular mechanisms of antitumor agents, and clinical applications.
Labs/Teams: His research aligns with the School of Pharmacy’s focus on translational medicine, collaborating with teams at The Scripps Research Institute and other institutions.
