Kristine Ajrouch

Kristine Ajrouch is a Professor of Sociology at Eastern Michigan University within the College of Arts and Sciences. Her research focuses on cultural dimensions of social relations across the life course, with a 15-year emphasis on Arab American communities and aging studies.

• Current Research: Aging in metro-Detroit Arab American communities and family ties in Beirut, Lebanon
• Key Themes: Ethnic identity formation, immigrant integration, forgiveness, and comparative studies of Muslim families
