Kristina Clackson Bonnington is a Lecturer in Architecture and Design History & Theory at Regent’s University London, where she teaches on the BA (Hons) Interior Design course and leads the Level Six Dissertation Module. Her work focuses on socio-spatial control, gender dynamics in public spaces, and architectural equity. She holds an Honorary Research Fellow position at University College London (UCL), awarded in 2019.
Education includes a BA (Hons) in Architecture & Spatial Arts from The Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) and Central Saint Martins (UAL), complemented by postgraduate qualifications in Art & Design Pedagogy and Education from UCL’s Institute of Education. Her practice involves cross-disciplinary projects like House of Doors (a Parliament-installation commemorating women’s suffrage) and Female Firsts, celebrating pioneering women at UCL.
Research interests emphasize redesigning architectural education and public spaces to promote inclusivity. She has advised UK Parliament committees and delivered keynotes at institutions like KVINFO (Copenhagen) and The Association of Finnish Sculptors. Awards include Fiskars Residency Awards and UCL engagement recognitions.
