Kristin Williams is an Adjunct Professor of Sport Management at Hiram College, specializing in NCAA compliance and intercollegiate athletics administration. She currently serves as the Senior Associate Commissioner for Institutional Services/Senior Woman Administrator at the Mid-American Conference, a role she has held since 2013. Prior to this, she was the NCAA Compliance Coordinator at Tulane University and held leadership positions in compliance within collegiate athletics.
Her educational background includes a B.A. in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Santa Clara University and a Juris Doctorate from Cleveland Marshall College of Law. While pursuing her legal degree, she explicitly sought to enhance her career prospects in collegiate athletics rather than practice law.
Williams' professional focus centers on institutional governance, ethical practices, and regulatory frameworks in sports management. Her career trajectory reflects deep expertise in NCAA policies, compliance programs, and administrative leadership within athletic conferences.
Fun facts include her shift to a gluten-free diet (regrettably missing garlic bread) and her diverse undergraduate roles, such as organizing marathons and co-authoring a 'Historical Jesus' Dummies book as a research assistant.
