She completed her PhD at the University of New Mexico with a focus on chimpanzee social and hormonal development, and currently teaches Human Life History in fall semesters alongside Behavioral Endocrinology and Primatology Research in spring.
Education
- PhD, University of New Mexico
Research Focus
Her work investigates individual differences in social behavior through the lens of primate biology, particularly examining leadership emergence in chimpanzee communities. Key research areas include hormonal influences on social hierarchies and cross-species comparisons of life history strategies, conducted in collaboration with the Kibale Chimpanzee Project and Cognitive Evolution Group.
Academic Engagement
Dr. Sabbi's teaching portfolio bridges theoretical concepts with field research methodologies, preparing students for primatology fieldwork through her Primatology Research course while exploring evolutionary frameworks in Human Life History.
