معرفی
Kristin Roseth Aass is a Researcher in the Department of Clinical and Molecular Medicine at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Her research focuses on understanding Multiple Myeloma, an incurable hematologic malignancy, with a particular emphasis on IL-32 cytokine biology and miRNA biomarkers. She has conducted postdoctoral research funded by the Cancer Society, continuing work initiated during her 2020 PhD under Therese Standal.
Education: MSc in Molecular Medicine (NTNU), BSc in Biotechnology (NTNU). Research interests include translational approaches to identify novel therapeutic targets, cytokine signaling pathways, and immune microenvironment dynamics in myeloma. Key projects involve IL-32's role in tumor metabolism and miRNA prognostic modeling.
Publications span 2017–2025, emphasizing IL-32 proteolytic regulation, TLR signaling effects, and diet-induced obesity's impact on myeloma progression. Collaborative work includes scRNA-sequencing of patient samples and microbiota-host interactions. Supervision of 5+ students (both MSc and PhD) demonstrates her mentorship role. Active in professional outreach through conference presentations and patient seminars.
