معرفی
Siv Helen Moen is affiliated with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where she holds a prominent role in research within the Department of Clinical and Molecular Medicine, part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Her work focuses on understanding the interplay between inflammation, immunology, and cancer, particularly in multiple myeloma and bone disease.
Her research interests include cytokine signaling (e.g., IL-32, GDF15), Toll-like receptor (TLR) biology, bone remodeling in cancer, and therapeutic strategies targeting metabolic pathways in myeloma. She has extensively investigated how myeloma cells interact with the bone marrow microenvironment, leading to bone destruction and tumor progression.
Moen has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles since 2006, with a significant emphasis on understanding mechanisms of bone loss in multiple myeloma, cytokine regulation in tumor cells, and the role of TLR signaling in immune responses to pathogens. Her recent work explores the impact of obesity on immune cell populations in myeloma models and the development of automated tools for osteoclast analysis.
Her contributions include studies on BMP4 gene therapy, CD39/CD73-mediated adenosine pathways, and chemerin as a biomarker. Moen collaborates with international teams and participates in conferences focused on immunology, hematology, and cancer biology.
