Dr. Kristi Griffiths is a Senior Research Fellow and Acting Research Stream Lead at the InsideOut Institute within the University of Sydney's Faculty of Medicine and Health. She is affiliated with the Brain and Mind Centre and the Charles Perkins Centre. Her research focuses on neuroimaging approaches to understand ADHD, eating disorders, and impulse control disorders, with a particular interest in translational research and clinical trial design.
Dr. Griffiths holds a PhD in behavioral neuroscience from the University of Sydney and has received prestigious fellowships including the Tenix Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship and NHMRC Early Career Fellowship. She completed neuroimaging training at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging in Boston. Her work has produced over 40 peer-reviewed publications and secured over $1.3 million in research funding.
Her current research explores neural mechanisms underlying treatments for binge eating disorder and anorexia nervosa, including studies on lisdexamfetamine and psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy. She also investigates biomarkers for ADHD treatment response and neural correlates of attention and impulse control in youth.
Dr. Griffiths' awards include the NHMRC Early Career Fellowship and Brain Australia Grant. She advises on grants for international bodies and serves as a peer reviewer for top journals. Her lab at the InsideOut Institute focuses on personalized medicine and advancing neuroimaging techniques for mental health disorders.
