Kristen Ehrhardt, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Cultures at John Carroll University's College of Arts and Sciences. She has been a faculty member since 2011 and specializes in teaching Greek and Latin languages, Greek and Roman history, archaeology, mythology, and race/ethnicity in the ancient Mediterranean world.
- Educated at Macalester College (BA) and University of Wisconsin-Madison (PhD)
- Recipient of the 2018 Lucrezia Culicchia Award for Teaching Excellence
- Focuses on role-playing pedagogies in teaching ancient world topics
Her research explores the intersection of ancient poetry with its cultural production, reception, and performance contexts. Current projects include studies on Roman satire, Horace's Odes, and archaic Greek poetry traditions.
Dr. Ehrhardt has held office hours in O'Malley Center 119 during Spring 2023 (T/Th 1:00-3:00 pm, W 3:00-5:00 pm) and welcomes drop-ins.
