Kornelius Nielsch

Professor Kornelius Nielsch holds the Chair of Metallic Materials and Metal Physics while serving as Director of the Institute of Metallic Materials at the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden since April 2015. His work bridges fundamental solid state physics with critical applications in renewable energy technologies.

His research focuses on the intersection of materials science, physical chemistry, and solid state physics, particularly targeting next-generation energy conversion and storage systems.
