Prof. Dr. Kornelius Nielsch is the Director of the Institute for Metallic Materials (IFW Dresden) and a Full Professor for Metallic Materials and Metal Physics at Technical University of Dresden (TU Dresden). He previously held academic positions at the University of Hamburg (Professor, 2007–2015), Max Planck Institute for Microstructure Physics (Project Leader, 2003–2007), MIT (Postdoc, 2002–2003), and University of Bielefeld (Habilitation, 2007).
