Konrad Martin Heide is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Semitic Studies, Center for Near and Middle Eastern Studies (CNMS), Philipps University of Marburg, focusing on textual criticism of biblical and apocryphal texts, Ethiopic/Arabic/Syriac philology, and cultural history of animals in antiquity.

He specializes in Hebrew epigraphy from the pre-exilic period and interdisciplinary studies on the cultural history of camels and horses, collaborating with the Institute for Palaeoanatomy and History of Veterinary Medicine (LMU Munich).

He has produced critical editions of the Ethiopic Book of Jeremiah and Testament of Abraham, and contributed to the Editio Critica Maior of the New Testament. His articles analyze textual variations in Syriac and Arabic apocalyptic literature, Hebrew ostraca, and the domestication timeline of camels through epigraphic and archaeological evidence.
