Kolbie Tyler

Kolbie Tyler is a Lecturer in the Department of Plant and Soil Science at Texas Tech University, affiliated with the Davis College and actively contributing to the Ornamental Horticulture Research Group (OHRG) and the Trials program since 2016.

Her research and professional interests focus on horticulture, particularly ornamental horticulture and floral design. She is committed to enhancing the educational experience in horticulture, especially through the expansion of the Floral Design Program to include more students and advanced techniques.

Kolbie obtained her Masters Degree in Horticulture from Texas Tech University, reflecting her deep institutional and academic ties to the program.

She currently teaches Principles of Horticulture and Floral Design, contributing significantly to undergraduate education in plant sciences.

Kolbie is involved in program development and outreach within the horticulture curriculum, aiming to increase accessibility and technical depth in floral design education.
