Kok Chian Tam is an Associate Professor and Head of School at the School of Social Sciences and Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, Malaysia. He has over a decade of experience teaching Accounting and Finance at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He earned his Doctorate in 2019 and is actively contributing to academic leadership and policy development in higher education.
His research focuses on performance measurement in accounting, the commercialization of R&D outputs in universities, and learning and teaching pedagogy, particularly in the context of blended and responsive learning. His work contributes to national higher education policy in Malaysia and aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially in education and innovation.
The recent publications highlight a strong trend toward understanding educational transformation post-pandemic and the mechanisms for effective commercialization of academic research.
