Dr. Kofoworola D.A. Williams is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Health and Prevention at Drexel University’s Dornsife School of Public Health. She holds a PhD in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Virginia Commonwealth University, an MPH in Environmental and Occupational Health from Dornsife, and a BS in Biology with a Global Health certificate from Syracuse University. Her research focuses on mental health disparities, particularly among Black boys and men, leveraging digital technologies and social media to improve mental health access and outcomes.

Her work employs a human-centered approach to address structural and social barriers to mental health care, with a focus on culturally relevant digital solutions. Current projects include a scoping review of digital interventions for Black youth suicide prevention, developing social media messaging for mental health symptom management, and designing culturally appropriate digital tools for depression treatment. Dr. Williams’ contributions have been recognized through awards from NIMH and NIMHD.
Her lab emphasizes collaboration and innovation in digital health equity, and she mentors PhD students aligning with these goals.
