Dr. Kody Wallace is an Adjunct Professor of Music at Catawba College and an Assistant Professor of Music & Director of Choral Activities at Livingstone College. He previously taught at Grand Valley State University and serves as choral conducting faculty at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. He holds a B.M.E., M.M.E., and Ph.D. from the University of Florida and Florida State University.
His research focuses on embodied cognition, music perception, and gesture, with publications in the Choral Journal and scholarly editions with Walton/Hinshaw. He actively conducts regional honor choirs across multiple states and presents at music education conferences. Dr. Wallace also serves on the board of the North Carolina American Choral Directors Association.
Collaborations include work with the Florida Orchestra, Fisk Jubilee Singers, and Apollo5. His professional roles span academia, performance, and arts administration.
