Klas Nevrin is a musician, composer, and Lecturer in Improvisation at the Department of Jazz, Royal College of Music in Stockholm. His roles include teaching improvisation, creative listening, composition, and artistic research, as well as supervising master’s theses. He holds an interdisciplinary background, having studied the history of religions, Indology, philosophy, and conducted research on yoga. His artistic research focuses on listening practices, interdisciplinary collaboration with visual arts, dance, and performance, and the socio-political impact of experimental art.
- Key Research Themes: Micropolitical social change, neurodiversity, decoloniality, affective relationality, and feminist theories of responsibility.
- Projects: Leads the AMIS project (2024–2026), exploring artistic methods for systemic change and sustainable development, building on prior research from the 'Music in Disorder' project (2016–2019).
