Kirsten Cook is a Professor of Accounting and Frank M. Burke Chair in Taxation at Texas Tech University's Rawls College of Business, directing the Lyons School of Accounting. With a PhD from Texas A&M University and prior experience at the University of Arizona, she specializes in taxation, earnings management, and corporate social responsibility. Her teaching focuses on tax accounting at undergraduate and graduate levels, and she mentors doctoral students in tax research.
