Kimberly Van Es

Kimberly Van Es is an Instructor in Business Writing at Northwestern College. With over 25 years of teaching experience at both high school and college levels, she specializes in grammar instruction, young adult literature, and innovative English pedagogy. She has presented at the Iowa Council of Teachers of English conference and the National Council of Teachers of English Convention. Her professional work includes content creation for the Write Source Company and copy editing for 13 books. Through her business, Kim's Writing & Editing Service, she supports writers nationwide in refining their work for diverse audiences.

Awardees include Northwestern College’s inaugural Faculty Inspirational Service Award (2013) for exceptional service and Christian commitment, and the Iowa Council of Teachers of English Distinguished Service Award (2023).
