Kimberly Fornace

Associate Professor Kimberly Fornace is affiliated with the National University of Singapore (NUS) as a primary faculty member at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, and holds adjunct roles at the University of Glasgow and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Her research focuses on spatial epidemiology, infectious disease dynamics, and the impacts of environmental change on zoonotic diseases like malaria. She employs Earth Observation data, geostatistical methods, and machine learning to inform public health strategies.

Dr. Fornace earned a PhD in Spatial Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (2018), an MSc in Infectious Diseases from the University of London (2011), and a BA in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Colorado (2010). She has held roles including Sir Henry Dale Fellow (2014–2021) and Assistant Professor (2019–present).

Her research priorities include characterizing zoonotic malaria in Malaysia and the Philippines, evaluating land-use changes like deforestation, and integrating environmental data into disease surveillance systems. Key themes are the spatial epidemiology of emerging pathogens and the application of drone technology for vector surveillance.
