Henry Surendra

Henry Surendra is an Associate Professor and Coordinator for the Master of Public Health Program at Monash University Indonesia, with a PhD in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. He serves as a Postdoctoral Epidemiologist at the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU) in Indonesia.

Research Interests: His work spans zoonotic malaria transmission, agricultural land-use impacts on health, COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness, disruptions in TB/HIV/childhood vaccination programs during epidemics, and spatial/serological surveillance. Recent projects include Sustainable development of Ibu Kota Nusantara: impacts on emerging malaria risks as a Chief Investigator.

Publications (2024-2025): Focus on tuberculosis management apps, molecular diagnostics for malaria, antimicrobial stewardship, SARS-CoV-2 immunity, and drowning epidemiology, reflecting interdisciplinary work in tropical diseases, digital health, and public health systems.
