Dr. Kimberly Baker serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Duquesne University's School of Nursing, a position she assumed in 2025 following extensive clinical and leadership experience at UPMC Mercy and Presbyterian Hospitals. She integrates expertise in behavioral health and substance use disorders into the nursing curriculum while maintaining active roles in national nursing organizations.
Dr. Baker's educational background includes:
- DNP in Leadership from The Pennsylvania State University (2025)
- MSN with Leadership and Education concentration from Carlow University
- BSN from the University of Phoenix
- Nursing diploma from Citizen's General Hospital School of Nursing (2001)
Her research focuses on mitigating workplace violence, preventing moral injury among nurses, and addressing substance use disorders through evidence-based behavioral health interventions.
