Cara Morrill-Stoklosa is a Lecturer at the Duquesne University School of Nursing since Fall 2019, with prior experience as adjunct clinical faculty since 2017. She practices as a Level III Senior Professional Staff Nurse DNP at UPMC and serves on the system-wide VTE Council.

Her research focuses on hospital-acquired VTE prevention, virtual nursing skills training, and dementia care. She developed standardized VTE education tools and became a Dementia Friend Champion after personal experience with her grandfather's illness.
Recent publications highlight virtual nursing education innovations during the pandemic and VTE compliance strategies. These works emphasize simulation technology, pandemic adaptation, and clinical competency.

She created delirium assessment resources (2013-2014) and revised CAM Assessment Tools for geriatric care. Her work spans UPMC Health System and international clinical experience in Ghana (2010).
