Kimberly Alexander is a Senior Lecturer in the History Department at the University of New Hampshire and serves as the Director of Museum Studies. She teaches courses on museum studies, material culture, American history, architectural history, and New Hampshire history.
- B.A. in History from Colby College
- M.A. and Ph.D. in Art History (Architectural History) from Boston University
Her research focuses on 18th-century art, architectural history, decorative arts, and material culture. Her publications explore trends in Anglo-American trade, fashion history, and textile history, particularly through objects like footwear and domestic artifacts.
She has received notable recognition, including the Andrew Oliver Research Fellowship at the Massachusetts Historical Society. Her UNH Flax to Linen Project (2024-2025), funded by the NH Humanities Council, bridges historical research with community engagement.
