Dr. Kimberley Zonneveld is an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Disability Studies at Brock University. She holds a Ph.D. in Behavioral Psychology from the University of Kansas and has over 15 years of experience in behavior analysis. Her research focuses on applied behavior analysis (ABA) interventions for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including feeding disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and parent/teacher training.
Education: Ph.D., University of Kansas (Behavioral Psychology); M.Sc., Florida Institute of Technology (Behavior Analysis); Doctoral coursework, University of Nevada Reno.
Research Interests: Pediatric feeding disorders, autism interventions, behavioral dentistry, skill acquisition in older adults, and parent training methodologies. Current projects include studies on food selectivity treatments, yoga instruction for adults, and group contingencies for classroom behavior management.
Publications include works in Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis and contributions to the Handbook of Intellectual Disabilities. Ongoing research explores behavioral interventions for essential routines (e.g., dental visits) and physical activity in schools.
Lab: Zonneveld Lab oversees research on ABA applications, with current students including Madeline Asaro, Kendra White, and Sydney Wu. The lab emphasizes translational research bridging clinical practice and academic rigor.
