Kim T. Zebehazy is Professor in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, and Special Education at the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Education. They serve as Co-coordinator of the Blindness and Visual Impairment Concentration and Coordinator of the Graduate Certificate in Orientation and Mobility program.
Dr. Zebehazy's research focuses on education of students with visual impairments with and without multiple disabilities. Their scholarly interests include assessment methodologies, instructional strategies, problem-solving skill development, and specialized techniques for students with visual impairments. They have particular expertise in orientation and mobility training, low vision accommodations, and tactile graphics development.
Professional recognition includes the UBC Faculty of Education Killam Teaching Prize awarded in 2015.

Dr. Zebehazy maintains significant community engagement through multiple professional organizations serving the visually impaired community. They serve as Board of Directors Member and Secretary for Blind Beginnings Society, and have held continuous roles with Build Beginning Society (Volunteer 2010-present; Board Member 2010-2016 and 2019-2023). Additional service includes membership on the Provincial Resources Centre for the Visually Impaired Advisory Board (2016-present), Shared Vision Collaboration Network (2011-present), and as Chair of the U.S. Department of Education Federal Review Panel of the American Printing House for the Blind (2014-present).
