Dr. Kim Snyder is an Assistant Professor and Chair of the Department of Educational Foundations and Leadership at Wayne State College. She holds an Ed.D. in Education Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, an M.Ed. in Reading Specialist, and a B.S. in 7-12 English-Language Arts and Journalism Education from Wayne State College. Her professional service includes roles with the Nebraska State Literacy Association (NSLA), the Board of Directors for Educational Service Unit No. 1, and mentorship with Teammates. Previously, she served as Statewide Director of Teacher and Principal Support at the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) and taught for 27 years in Nebraska public schools across rural to urban districts.
