Dr. Kim Neal serves as Assistant Professor of Math Education and Coordinator of Mathematics Education at Newberry College's Department of Teacher Education. She holds an Ed.D. in Child and Youth Studies with a Minor in Math Curriculum and Instruction from Nova Southeastern University (2004), an M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University (2007), an M.S. in Elementary Education from Lander University (1997), and a B.A. in Mathematics from Florida Atlantic University (1990).
With over 30 years of educational experience, Dr. Neal specializes in mathematics curriculum development, statistics pedagogy, and technology integration. Her research focuses on innovative teaching methodologies for advanced mathematics concepts. She has significantly contributed to South Carolina's educational standards development and course alignment projects.
Honors include:
- SC Technical Education Association Educator of the Year (2018)
- ACT Visiting Teacher and Test Item Writer (2006)
