JuRang Kim is an Adjunct Professor of Violin and Viola at Asbury University's Music Department. She holds a Master of Music (MM) from Syracuse University and a Master of Arts (MA) from the Longy School of Music of Bard College, complemented by a Teaching Artist Certificate from Longy. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Violin Performance at the University of Kentucky.
Her professional roles include Teaching Assistantships at the University of Kentucky and a Master Teacher position at the Seminary School of the Arts (Southern Baptist Theological Seminary). She has also served as faculty at the ArtsAhimsa Music Festival in Lenox, MA (2019). A global performer, Kim has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician in the U.S., Germany, France, Mongolia, and South Korea.
Her expertise spans performance and pedagogy, with a focus on classical music education and violin/viola instruction. Her academic journey reflects a commitment to both artistic mastery and mentorship of emerging musicians.
