Mark Braunstein is a faculty member at the Chicago College of Performing Arts under Roosevelt University. As a viola performer and educator, he combines a distinguished performance career with teaching, focusing on viola techniques and injury prevention for musicians.
- Education: Bachelor of Music and Master of Music from Cleveland Institute of Music
Mr. Braunstein has performed globally as a soloist, orchestral, and chamber musician, including roles with the Cleveland Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic, and Kansas City Philharmonic. His research and writings explore injury rehabilitation in musicians, and he has presented workshops on dystonia at the American Viola Society Congress.
Additional activities include founding the Redlands Chamber Music Society and serving as a sales representative and consultant for violin companies such as Guang Zhou Cremona and William Harris Lee & Company.
