Lubitza Hershberger

Lubitza Hershberger is a Lecturer in Music Education at Centre College. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Viola Performance from the University of Kentucky and is renowned for her interdisciplinary research bridging viola performance and Bulgarian cultural studies. As a performer, she has collaborated with prestigious ensembles such as the Sofia Chamber Orchestra, Alabama Symphony, and Lexington Philharmonic.

Her research interests include viola performance techniques, Bulgarian music interpretation, and interdisciplinary approaches to musical analysis. Hershberger's thesis on Marin Goleminov's concerto highlights her focus on blending pedagogy with cultural studies.
