Research Interests: Ambriz specializes in printmaking techniques including screenprinting, monoprint, monotype, and lithography, with experimental approaches and hand bookbinding in advanced coursework. Her artistic practice draws from ancient pictorial traditions—particularly Aztec codices and Plains Indian ledger drawings—reinterpreting Mexican myths (Popol Vuh, zodiac) and funerary customs through the lens of underworld journeys and cultural narratives.
Grants and Residencies: Recipient of Chicago Community Arts Assistance Grant (CAAP) with artist residencies at CBPA/Anchor Graphics, Jentel Artist Residency Program, Vermont Studio Center, and FugScreens Studio.
Collaborative Work: Active member of the artist collective 'The Moving Crew', exhibiting internationally at venues including Proyecto 'Ace (Buenos Aires), Space 1026 (Philadelphia), and Urban Institute of Contemporary Art (Grand Rapids).
