Kien Pham is a Research Scientist in Pathology at Yale School of Medicine, serving as Operations Manager for the YSM Biobank. She holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Florida and completed postdoctoral training under Prof. Chen Liu. Her research focuses on cancer metastasis, precision medicine, and viral hepatitis, with contributions to SARS-CoV-2 genomic studies. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
Education: B.S. (2006, Molecular and Cellular Biology), M.S. (2008, Applied Biosciences), Ph.D. (2013, Biomedical Sciences) from the University of Arizona and University of Florida.
Research Interests: Her work spans cancer biology, virology, and epigenetics, with recent emphasis on Omicron variant dynamics, CAR-NK therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma, and epigenetic drivers of liver disease. She leads collaborative projects on viral evolution and precision oncology.
Key Achievements: Published over 20 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. Awards include AIMS Awards (2020), Experimental Pathology Innovative Grant (2014), and Medical Guild Research Incentive Award (2010).
