Khyati Patel

Khyati Patel, PharmD, BCACP, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the College of Pharmacy, Rosalind Franklin University. She joined the university in July 2012 and maintains her office at the Interprofessional Education Center (Room 2.820).

Dr. Patel's educational background includes:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) with Magna Cum Laude honors, University of Illinois at Chicago, 2011
• Postgraduate Year-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency, Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, Hines, IL, 2011-2012

Her research centers on chronic disease management and opioid abuse mitigation in clinical settings, with additional focus on vaccination initiatives and innovative educational methodologies. She pioneers podcasting as an academic tool through her co-hosting role on 'HelixTalk', Rosalind Franklin University's College of Pharmacy podcast, while advancing scholarship in teaching practices.

Dr. Patel serves as faculty advisor for the Interprofessional Clinic Initiative and established clinical pharmacy services at Aurora Medical Center's Family Medicine Clinic in Kenosha, WI. Her work integrates comprehensive medication reviews and chronic disease monitoring for underserved populations through the student-run Interprofessional Community Clinic, where she remains a founding faculty member.

She actively teaches Pharmacotherapy I-VI, Advanced Diabetes Management, Pharmacogenomics, and Interprofessional Case Collaborations while developing practical professional development curricula.
