Dr. Khanssa Lagdami is the ITF Seafarers' Trust Associate Professor of Maritime Labour Law and Policy at the World Maritime University (WMU), where she has served since 2015. She previously coordinated WMU's Maritime Welfare (Mari-Wel) program and is a lead member of the Future of Work initiative, focusing on maritime sector challenges. As a consultant for the European Commission, International Maritime Organization (IMO), and United Nations agencies, she provides expertise on maritime labour law, human rights at sea, and maritime security.

Her multidisciplinary work bridges maritime law with emerging technologies and social policy.
