Keyne Law is an Associate Professor at the School of Psychology, Family & Community, Seattle Pacific University. As Director of CPY Research, she focuses on understanding the interplay between ecological, cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and biological systems in suicide-related phenomena.
- Education: BA (Simon Fraser University, 2013), MA (University of Southern Mississippi, 2016), PhD (University of Southern Mississippi, 2018)
Her research examines mechanisms underlying suicidal ideation and behavior, integrating self-report measures, clinical interviews, behavioral tasks, and psychophysiological assessments. She leads the Clinical Research in Self-Injury & Suicide (CRISIS) Laboratory, conducting interdisciplinary studies and community outreach for suicide prevention.
Keyne Law's publications from 2014-2017 demonstrate expertise in self-injurious behaviors, rumination, emotional regulation, and cognitive-neurobiological mechanisms of suicidality. Recent articles focus on pain tolerance, affective dynamics, and psychopathological factors in suicide risk.
Outside research, she engages in community suicide awareness projects and enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and aerial arts.
