Kevin Timpe is a Professor of Philosophy and Department Chair at Calvin University. He holds the William H. Jellema Chair in Christian Philosophy and received his PhD from Saint Louis University in 2004.
Research Interests: His work spans free will, virtue ethics, philosophy of disability, philosophical theology, and metaphysics. He advocates for disability inclusion in academic and religious contexts, addressing ableism and systemic barriers.
Publications: He has authored or edited eleven books, including Disability and Inclusive Community, The Routledge Companion to Free Will, and Virtues and Their Vices, alongside over 60 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters.
Advocacy: Timpe actively promotes disability rights through speaking engagements, podcasts, and workshops. He consults on inclusive education practices, critiques ableist metaphors in liturgical contexts, and emphasizes the importance of disability representation in literature and community-building.
