Kevin Shaver is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Pittsburgh, where he has been since Fall 2016. He specializes in teaching microeconomic theory at introductory, intermediate, and master’s levels, alongside courses on game theory and the political economy of the state. He has served as an academic advisor for economics majors since 2017.
Shaver holds a BA in Philosophy and Economics (1996) and an MA in Economics (1998) from the University of Kansas, and a PhD in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis (2009).
His research interests focus on Economics Pedagogy, Applied Microeconomics, Industrial Organization, and Public Economics. He is affiliated with the University’s Department of Economics and can be reached at kgs29@pitt.edu.
