Gerardo Ruiz Sanchez is an Associate Professor of Economics at Trinity College in Hartford, CT, since 2018. Currently on leave, he focuses on empirical applied microeconomics research across health economics, industrial organization, labor economics, and econometrics.
- Education: Ph.D. in Economics (Yale University, 2018), M.Phil. in Economics (Yale), M.A. in Economic Theory (ITAM), B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Economics (ITAM)
His teaching philosophy emphasizes equipping students with tools to connect economics to real-world policy and life. At Yale, he taught Intermediate Macroeconomics, Introductory Microeconomics, Game Theory, and Econometrics courses.
