Dr. Kevin Oh is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Applied BioSciences at Macquarie University. His research focuses on evolutionary ecology, genetics, and conservation biology, particularly addressing issues in invasive species management and genetic biocontrol. He holds external roles as a Research Scientist at CSIRO (since 2023) and previously as a Visiting Scientist at CSIRO Health and Biosecurity (2020–2023).
Dr. Oh earned a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Arizona (2003–2009) and a BA in Biology from Bowdoin College (1997–2001). His work integrates population genetics, whole-genome sequencing, and bioinformatics to tackle challenges in wildlife conservation and pest control.
Key research projects include investigating house mouse population dynamics in Australian cropping systems and developing gene drive technologies for invasive species management. His collaborative efforts aim to enhance ecological and agricultural resilience through innovative genetic strategies.
