Kevin O'Meara

CAPT Kevin O'Meara is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) and a Pediatric Gastroenterologist at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology & Nutrition, he has served in diverse military and clinical roles spanning over two decades, including leadership positions at Naval Hospitals and deployments supporting special operations and humanitarian missions.

• Education: MD (1999) from USUHS; B.S. in Biology (1994) from University of the State of New York.

Research Focus: His work centers on pediatric gastrointestinal disorders, particularly chronic colitis and mucosal immunity, with a secondary focus on military community pediatrics and healthcare quality improvement.
