Kevin M. Wright is an Associate Professor at the Vollum Institute, Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). He earned a B.S. in Neuroscience (2001) from Allegheny College and a Ph.D. in Neurobiology (2006) from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, followed by postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins Medical Institute.
- PhD: University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (Neurobiology, 2006)
- BS: Allegheny College (Neuroscience, 2001)
His research focuses on neurodevelopment, particularly molecular pathways governing axon guidance, neuronal migration, and synaptogenesis in disorders like autism. He pioneered studies on Dystroglycan signaling and Tbr1 mutations.
Recent work includes Cre-lox tools for cerebellar studies and PARP6 function in developmental delay. Articles span neurogenetics, synaptic biology, and retinal development, with high-impact studies in Nature Communications and Neuron.
He has 31 publications and an h-index of 16 (Scopus). Collaborations include institutions like Johns Hopkins, UNC, and OHSU, with recurring co-authors in neurodevelopmental research (e.g., Brian J. O'Rоak, Joseph Leffler).
